Lo1: Hammurabi- a Babylonian king who reigned from 1792 B.C. to 1750 B.C. / conquered Elam and the city-states of Larsa, Eshnunna, and Mari / ousted Ishme-Dagan / forced Mut- Ashkur to pay tribute, bringing almost all of Mesopotamia under Babylonian rule
Hammurabi's Code- the law of the Babylonian Empire

Lo2:
Hammurabi's code is the first law that clearly states the crime and punishment for that crime. A lot of the outcomes ended in death or physical punishment. If the fine for a punishment couldn't be repaid, it would result in death.
